1 Our jewelry
1.1 What material are the charms and necklaces made of?

The necklaces and charms are made out of 100´% conflict free 925 silver. We consciously work with a combination of new and recycled precious metals to guarantee the hardness and quality of our jewelry. 

The gold plating of our jewelry, both in yellow gold and rose gold, is exclusively in 18 carat gold. The gold plating is done in collaboration with a renowned company within the Belgian jewelry industry so that we always maintain control over the quality of our jewelry.

1.2 How many charms fit on a bracelet or necklace?

Standard we offer 1 to 5 charms per bracelet and necklace, but more charms are possible. If you have any special requests, please send me an email and I will glady help you by creating something personal and unique.

1.3 Are there different sizes?

There is 1 length for the necklaces, but each necklace has 4 eyelets so you can wear the necklace at different lengths: between +/- 39 and 45 cm

There are two sizes for the bracelets:

  • between +/- 13 and 15 cm: ideal for children or adults with extra narrow wrists
  • between +/- 16 and 18 cm: standard length for adults.

Do you need a smaller or larger bracelet? No problem. When you order, report the desired length in the provided box: ‘special request or remarks’. We will arrange this for you free of charge.

Each necklace or bracelet will always have 3 or 4 eyelets so you can adjust the length yourself.

1.4 How do I keep my jewelry looking beautiful?

A gftd. jewel is a jewel with a unique message or meaning. It’s a jewel that you prefer to wear as much as possible and therefore we would love to give you some tips to improve its life expectancy by wearing, cleaning and storing it the right way.

Wearing

  • Put on your gftd. jewelry after using make-up and other cosmetics such as hairspray, perfumes and/or lotions. These products often contain chemicals which risk damaging your jewels.
  • Soap and chlorinated water can react with the materials found in jewelry, causing discoloration. So take them off when bathing, showering or spending time in swimming pools and spas.
  • Avoid wearing your jewelry while doing manual tasks, especially when chemicals or cleaning fluids are involved.
  • Remove when exercising

 

Cleaning

When you order your gftd. jewelry you’ll receive a special jewel cloth.  Use only this cloth to avoid scratches. This towel is perfect for a quick daily cleaning. Never clean this cloth because it’s been treated with a special product and it will lose its efficiency.

If you want to clean it more profoundly, please use dedicated jewelry cleaning products and a jewelry polishing cloth or dip it in warm water with a dash of cleaning vinegar. Avoid using regular soap because it can cause a film over the jewel, making it look dull.

 

Storing jewelry

Store your jewelry in a safe and dry place, away from direct (sun) light.

1.5 Where can I see gftd. jewelry in real life?

Gftd. jewelry is an online jewelry shop. We realize, however, that it is difficult to visualize the gftd. jewelry in real life. Therefore we try to make the photographs of each item on this website as representative as possible.

1.7 I received a gftd. jewelry giftcard, where can I redeem this?

Every gift card has its own unique code. When you order your personal gftd. jewel and you proceed to the payment process, you’ll notice a box named ‘discount code’ below your order summary. Here you can fill out your code, which will then be applied.  

2 Orders
2.1 I want to order a piece of jewelry. How does that work?

Hi there, thank you for your interest in gftd. jewelry. If you would like to order your own personal gftd. jewel, there are two options

  • You choose one of the proposed models of chains and necklaces on the website and start creating your own personal version by choosing the color, the finish and the charms.
  • You create your own bracelet or necklace by choosing your symbols and letters, the color and the specific place where you want to attach each charm. Email me all the details and I will send you a proposal.
2.2 I cannot place an order. Is there another way?

Are you experiencing problems during your order or payment? Do not hesitate and contact me at [email protected] State your name, telephone number, order number (if any), what you wanted to order and what exactly went wrong in your email. I will be happy to help you as soon as possible.

2.3 I made a mistake in my design.

"Oh no, I did something wrong!"

No worries. As soon as you realize that you have passed on the wrong letters/symbols, or that they are not in the correct order, email me at [email protected] As long as the package has not yet been sent, we can adjust the jewel in our atelier.

If the package has already been sent, you can send it back to us and we will make the adjustments free of charge as part of our customer service.

2.4 What happens after I place an order?

Once we have received a valid payment through the website’s payment platform, your order is final and you will immediately receive an automatic order confirmation by email. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam folder. Otherwise you can send us an email at [email protected] The creation of your gftd jewel starts once we have received your valid payment.

2.5 What do I do if there is a problem with my order?

If you have a problem with your order, please send us an email explaining your problem with your name and phone number included. We will gladly try to solve your problem as soon as possible.

3 Payments
3.1 What payment methods does gftd. jewels accept?

We accept the following payment methods: Creditcard, Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, Bancontact, KBC payment button, ING home'pay, Belfius direct net

Once your payment has been accepted, you will receive an order confirmation at the email address you provided. Our product prices include 21% VAT; shipping costs are not included. The price you pay is the price indicated on the website on the day your order is placed 

4 Shipping and delivery
4.1 What are the shipping costs?

Shipments to Belgium and the Netherlands: 5.95 euros / free> 100 euros

Once we have made your order and packed it, we will send it to you with much love. For all orders under 100 euros, we ask a shipping cost of 5.95 euros. If the total amount of your order exceeds 100 euros, this cost will be canceled.

 

Shipments within the EU:

We also ship to other countries. Shipping costs vary from country to country. The costs are calculated when you complete your order. Other destinations: Is your destination not among the possible options? No problem. Send us an email ([email protected]) and we will ensure that your package arrives at its destination.

4.2 Can my order be delivered at another address?

If you desire to deliver your order elsewhere, that is possible. During the checkout you can choose to ship to a different address.

4.3 What is the processing time?

The average production time is 14 days and the shipment can vary between 1 to 7 days.  If there are any special requests concerning the delivery time, please send us an email and we’ll find the best solution. Keep in mind that we always try to deliver within 7 business days.

4.4 Does the package fit in the mailbox?

Yes it does!

5 Customer service
5.1 Can I return my order? Return policy

Every gftd. jewel is personally created and based on your choices and your story.  It is assembled by hand to your wishes and is therefore unique.

Because it is a customized jewel, it is non-refundable. If you are not satisfied with your jewel, if it’s damaged or does not fit, please contact me immediately after receiving your jewel (within 7 days of receipt). Then we will examine together how we can adjust the jewel so that you are completely satisfied.

5.2 Unfortunately my gftd jewel is broken, what can I do?

Did your bracelet or chain break because your child pulled it a little too hard or it just got tangled somewhere? Then we can repair this for you in our atelier. Depending on the damage, we determine how we can best repair it and at what cost. If you agree with the cost, we will gladly repair it for you. The big advantage is that we have our own atelier featuring a certified goldsmith.

5.3 I have a complaint, what can I do?

The gftd. jewelry customer service is available through email at [email protected] or by mail at the following address: Generaal Lemanstraat 57, 3500 Hasselt, Belgium.

5.4 Repairs and adjustments

Adjustments

Things change in life, and so can your gftd. jewel. Is there a new member in the family, do you have a new pet, did you say goodbye to a loved one? You can always have your jewel adjusted and have letters and symbols added, changed or replaced. The price for this depends on what you desire. Please send me an email with your wishes and I will gladly help you.

Repairs

  • The gilding: Do you have a gold plated jewel and do you notice that your yellow gold or rose gold is disappearing slightly? We are happy to gild your jewel again. Prices are between 10 euro and 20 euro depending on the jewel. We give 1 year warranty on the gilding.
  • Broken: If your gftd. jewelry breaks down with normal use within two years of purchase, we will repair it for you. Depending on what exactly is broken, this can be done for free.

Did your bracelet or chain break because your child pulled it a little too hard or it just got tangled somewhere? Then we can repair this for you in our atelier. Depending on the damage, we determine how we can best repair it and at what cost. If you agree with the cost, we will gladly repair it for you. The big advantage is that we have our own atelier featuring a certified goldsmith.

If you have a gold plated jewel, both rose and yellow gold, a repair is accompanied by an extra cost for the new gilding. The price depends on the jewel.
